It's just that easy to recycle with Hartel's/DBJ Disposal.  Here's what you need to know...

Service Area

Weekly curbside recycling in Duluth, Hermantown and Proctor.  Pickup is the same day as garbage collection.  Please have bin out by 6:00am to insure pickup.

Included in cost of garbage pickup.

What Can I Recycle?

Paper/Fiber Products

Newspaper (includes all inserts)

Magazines, catalogs, phone books

Envelopes, mail, office/computer paper

Chipboard/paperboard (ex. cereal boxes, etc):  MUST be flattened

Corrugated cardboard: MUST be flattened & no larger than 3'x3' pieces

Co-mingled Products

All items must be rinsed clean for recycling.  Please flatten were practical.

Plastic bottles and containers with a #1 thru #7 on the bottom.  Remove all caps, rings and pumps

Glass bottles and jars: Clear, brown and green colors.  Remove caps & lids. CANNOT accept broken glass

Cans: Tin and aluminum (food or beverage only).  Remove all labels

 

Items We Cannot Recycle!

Plastic bags, styrofoam, packing peanuts, light bulbs, mirrors, window glass, ceramics, ovenware, dishes, drinking glasses, aerosol cans, scrap metal, hangers, oil/antifreeze containers, pizza boxes, paper milk cartons, scrap wood, pots and pans, food waste

 

How to Prepare Your Bin for Collection

1. Mix all the clean glass, cans and plastic (or the"co-mingled" products) in the bottom of the recycling bin.

Blue Recycle Bin

New or additional bins are available at a cost of $13.00 plus tax. Cost will be added to your account. Call us at (218) 729-5446 or fill out the blue bin order form to submit an order. Your new bin will be delivered the week following your order.
