Thank you for visiting Hartel’s / DBJ Disposal Companies, “The Local Choice” for over 50 years! We’ve been serving the area’s waste and recycling needs since 1952. Though we are now the area’s oldest and largest independent hauler, we still give our customers the flexible service they want—along with the personal touch they deserve!

We provide Residential and Commercial service to the communities of Duluth, Hermantown, Proctor, Solway and Midway townships. In addition to these communities, we provide Roll-off service in Superior, Cloquet, Cotton, Floodwood, Two Harbors and the Fish Lake, Island Lake and North Shore areas.

For your convenience, we work all holidays with the exception of Christmas and New Years day. For Christmas and New Years weeks, your pick-up day will be one day behind starting with Christmas day and New Years day.

Don’t forget about our REFERRAL CREDIT PROGRAM. It’s a great way to save a few bucks on your service! Tell a neighbor, friend or family member about our service and for every referral that becomes a new customer and mentions your name, we will give you a $10 credit on your next billing.

We now accept most major credit cards, direct bank payment along with cash or personal check.  We also offer a 5% discount for yearly payment in advance (Jan/Dec).  This discount is offered each January.
